Lena Hypolite, 88 of Port Arthur passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Lena was born August 22, 1928 to Lillie and Arthur Allison.

Lena was preceded in death by her four sisters Mary Curby, Corine Williams, Clara Smith, and Myrtle Hines. Lena is survived by her daughter Kimberly Johnson; two grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lena was a teacher in PAISD for 44 years, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Port Arthur Alumnae Chapter and other numerous organizations in the community.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church. Services are entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
