It is with a deep sense of loss that we announce the death of Willie John “Bill” Malin at the age of 83. Bill went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He passed from this life surrounded by family at his home in Buna, Tx. Bill was born on February 3, 1933 in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated in 1951 from Thomas Jefferson High School before joining the US Marines.
He married his beautiful wife, Sue Malin on June 2, 1956 and had two loving children: Penny Kay Lemaire and Donald Mark Malin. Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Malin; daughter Penny Kay Lemaire and husband Greg; son Donald Mark Malin and wife Delores; grandchildren Kayla Lemaire Gregory and husband Jason, Krisi Lemaire Girolamo and husband Brian, Cody Michael Malin, and Macy Malin; great-grandchildren Tyler Gregory, Trevor Gregory, Jeret Gregory, Kylun Girolamo and Maddie Girolamo. Brothers Pete Strange, Michael “Mickey” Strange and wife Roxie, Jerry Strange and wife Carolyn, Jerry Malin and wife Marilyn, and Kenny Malin; sisters Susie Mouton, Ann Huebel and husband Milton, Betty Johnston and husband Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bud Malin and his sister Helen Wingler.
His immediate family would like to thank all family members who assisted in Bill’s care as well as his nurse Dawn Yancey, aide Tiffany Dill, and sitter Vickie Schexnayder.
A gathering of Bill’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, at First Baptist Church in Buna. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, Sept. 20, at First Baptist Church in Buna with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
