BRIDGE CITY — A 40-year-old man has been arrested for Wednesday’s homicide of a Bridge City woman.

Jorge Hugo Elizade-Sanchez was charged with the murder of Kara Marie Willingham, 28. Orange County District Judge Courtney Arkeen handled the arraignment and bond is set at $1 million. He remains in the Orange County Jail.

Police were called about a possible homicide around 7 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 100 block of Mary Avenue in Bridge City. They found the victim inside deceased.

Elizade-Sanchez was identified as a person of interest and was detained on unrelated charges.

Additional information was uncovered throughout the evening and early morning Thursday that led to the issuance of the warrant for his arrest.
