Lois Odelle Dyer, 86, of Beaumont, passed Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She was born on January 20, 1930, in Wiergate, Texas to Martha William Dryden and Heubert Dryden.

First of all, she was a Christian. She wasn’t afraid of hard work, helping her husband clear 28 acres of land by hand.

Survivors include her son, Nathan Richards and his wife, Kathy, of Mabank; daughter, Martha Ballard of Beaumont; son, David Richards and his wife, Robbie, of Nederland; grandchildren, Jason, Jared, Regina, Cheree’, Barry, Joshua, Ashley, and Colt; great-grandchildren, Madison and Hunter, Ashton, Rayce, and Peyton.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arlon Richards and Robert Dyer.

A gathering of Mrs. Dyer’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016, at First Baptist Church Great Room, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
