WEST ORANGE — Port Arthur Memorial played “a decent game,” coach Bianca Dixon said, but West Orange-Stark just had the upper hand Friday night in earning a sweep at home.
The Mustangs won 25-22, 25-22, 25-19, sending Memorial to 1-1 on the season. The Titans opened the season with a victory over Sabine Pass on Tuesday.
Statistics were not available, but Dixon said missed serves plagued the Titans.
Next for Memorial is Little Cypress-Mauriceville on the road Tuesday.
Also Friday, Bob Hope won its first home match of the season over Lighthouse Christian 25-5, 25-18, 25-7. The Eagles are now 2-0 in the Brandee Elliott era and will play West Hardin at home next Friday.
