LU SOCCER PLAYER MULNIX GIVEN HONOR

BEAUMONT — Jordan Mulnix of Lamar was named first-team preseason All-Southland Conference in soccer, it was announced Tuesday.

Mulnix, a sophomore from Flower Mound, scored a school-record 28 points and tied a single-season mark of 12 goals last season for the Cardinals.

Lamar opens the season at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 against Texas State at the LU Soccer Complex.
