The Huntsman Port Neches facility experienced a loss of utilities causing for flaring Tuesday.

Anne Knisely, corporate communications with Huntsman, said the loss of utilities happened around 4:30 p.m. and led to flaring and smoke plumes.

No injuries were reported and monitoring for environmental effects is being done.

The community was notified of the incident via the Southeast Texas Alerting Network and regulatory agencies have been notified.
