Man injured after truck, 18-wheeler collision

GROVES — A recent Port Neches-Groves High School graduate was injured when his truck and an 18-wheeler collided Tuesday in Groves.

The injured man is identified as Anthony Anniboli, a recent Port Neches-Groves High School graduate, according to family members.

The wreck happened around 1 p.m. in the 4800 block of FM 366 at McKinley Avenue in Groves, and Groves police and fire departments responded to the scene.

Police said a truck was traveling north in 4800 block of FM 366, when the vehicle entered the southbound lanes and was then hit by an on coming 18-wheeler.

The driver of the truck was brought to a local hospital and his injuries include a fractured rib, punctured lung, concussion, arm injury and numerous scrapes.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured. The accident is still being investigated by the Groves Police Department.
