MC 13-year-olds open up routing Eagle Pass

EAGLE PASS — The 13-year-old Mid-County Babe Ruth All-Stars started their East Texas state tournament off Friday with a 12-6 win over Del Rio.
Preston Johnson got the win after throwing three innings and allowing three runs on two hits. He had one strikeout. Trace Delarosa threw four innings, struck out three and gave up three runs on four hits.
Beau Seymour was 3 for 4 at the plate with three runs. Johnson was 2 for 3 with three runs. Kory De la Rosa was 2 for 3 with a run scored.
Christian Sullivan was 2 for 4 with a run.
Mid-County now faces the winner of Brazoswood and Eagle Pass at 5 p.m. today.
