Julia Lois McFarland, 87, of Bridge City (formerly of Nederland) passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 20, 1929 in New Brockton, Alabama to Dwiatt Baker and Pearl Holmes Baker.

Julia was retired from AT&T as an operator after 30 years of service.

Her favorite things were spending time with her family and going to the casino.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Robert Pitre officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, William McFarland.

She is survived by her two sons, William Mc Farland, Jr. and wife, Connie of Port Neches and Jack McFarland and wife, Shelley of Bridge City, daughter, JoAnn McFarland and husband, Jim Jefferies of Georgetown, TX., sister, Sue Parker of Buna, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
