BEAUMONT — Jefferson County District Attorney Bob Wortham has returned to work after a brief leave of absence due to health reasons.

Wortham will progress from light duty to a full work load in the near future, according to a press release from the DA’s office.

Pat Knauth, first assistant DA, said the office continues to function as it normally does and work is being done and decisions made that Wortham set down from the beginning.

“Mr. Wortham appreciates the support and prayers of his friends and family and is grateful to be back at work,” according to the press release.
