An alleged robbery suspect is dead following an exchange of gunfire with police outside a pharmacy Thursday night.

Local media are reporting that an armed man had entered Walgreens at the corner of Ninth Avenue and FM 365 around 9:20 p.m. Thursday.

The man is said to have fired a shot into the floor before leaving as police arrived. Customers were inside the store at the time but no one was hurt.

The suspect was eventually shot by police outside the business and died from his injuries.
