Barbara “Bobbie” Benz, 75, of Nederland, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Bobbie was born September 5, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas to Joseph Allie Morvent and Minnie Merwin Morvent. She was a lifelong area resident and retired from the Port Arthur Post Office as a postal carrier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Benz.

Survivors include two daughters, Kerrie Benz of Groves, Christi Hebert and her husband Dennis of Port Neches; two sisters, Linda Monk and her husband Randy of Bridge City, Judy Smith and her husband Perry of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Jimmie Morvent and his wife Judy of Boerne, Wayne Morvent and his wife Carolyn of Silsbee, and Jody Morvent of Groves; three grandchildren, Ryan Hebert, Nathan Hebert, and Caroline Holfelner; two great-grandchildren, Emma Hebert and Melody Hebert.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
