Maude Sylvia “Billie” Hossley, 93, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Seton Southwest Hospital in Austin, Texas. She was born July 3, 1922 in Coburn, Louisiana, to the late Henry Clay and Cecile Elander”Briggs” Sneed.

Sylvia was an operator at the telephone company and owner of Billie’s Flower Shop. She was a member of the Business Women’s Auxiliary, VFW, The Day Lillie Club and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry Hossley, son, Fred King Jr., son in law, Keith Knepp, siblings, Ruby Sneed, Eva Sneed Burke, David Sneed, Melvin Sneed, Clifford Sneed, Henry Clay Sneed Jr., Fannie Evelyn Sneed, Gerald Bing Sneed and Great Great Granddaughter Hannah Clawson.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Sue King Knepp, daughter in law, Barbara Fay Sibley King and her husband Jared Robert Dunlap, siblings, Christine Sneed Vance, Martin Marion Sneed and his wife Mary Ellen Peveto, 5 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1:00p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
