Edward Wesley Hall, Jr., affectionately known as “Butch” answered the call of the Almighty and was granted his wings on April 30, 2016 at UTMB Galveston, Texas.

Born to the union of Edward and Helen Hall, Sr., Ed was a life-long resident of Port Arthur, TX. A graduate of Lincoln High School; Class of 1962. He retired from Texaco-Huntsman in 2001 with over 30 years of service. He was a proud member of the Royalist Civic and Social Club.

Ed was a member of Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Ransom E. Howard, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Gordon Lee & Gregory Bell), one sister (Joycelyn), and one daughter (Karen).

Cherishing his memories and legacy are, his wife of 17 years Dorothy Victor Hall; a son, Edward Hall III; a daughter, Susan Hall; a step-daughter, Felicia Bain (Vincent); a grand-daughter, Ashley Hall; a step-granddaughter, Kylin Bain; 4 brothers, Donald, Alvin (Carol), Rodney, and David Hall; 2 sisters, Wanda Hall-Deering and Barbara Jean Hall-Sweet, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Rock Island Baptist Church with Rev. Ransom Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
