Johnnie D. Lowe, 68, of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Johnnie was born October 19, 1947 in Port Arthur, Texas to H. A. Loweand Gloria C. Lowe.  He was a lifelong area resident and retired from Texaco Research Lab after 26 years of service. Johnnie proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Survivors include his mother, Gloria Lowe of Groves, TX; daughter, Wendy Gardner and her husband Todd of Porter, TX; son, Shawn Loweand his wife Amelia of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Pam Bailey of Groves, TX; two grandchildren, Chris Fontenot and Cecily Fontenot; and great-grandson, Braylen Fontenot.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
