BEAUMONT — A Beaumont convenience store clerk is recovering after being shot in the shoulder during an armed robbery Tuesday night.

The three suspects, who were wearing gloves and clothing covering their faces, entered the store in the 2300 block of Louisiana around 9:30 p.m. and one of the suspects immediately shot the clerk, according to a press release from Beaumont Police Department.

The robbers took money from the cash drawer and were last seen exiting the store.

The clerk is listed in stable condition and was treated at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth.
