PORT NECHES — The Port Neches Avenue Enhancement Project has kicked-off leading to a street closure.

Port Neches Avenue between Block Street and Marion Street will be closed while crews work to replace sidewalks, install crosswalks and add ornamental lighting, benches and planters.

Once this segment is completed, the contractor will then work between Marion Street and Llano Street.

The anticipated construction time is 68 workdays, weather permitting.

The project is approximately $800,000, which includes about $600,000 of funding from the Texas Department of Transportation.
