McPherson.; four grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey (Aksana) Nelson, Chris
McPherson, Kimberly McPherson, and Jennifer (Brian) Portlock; seven
great-grandchildren, Brett Nelson, Brian McPherson, Dustin McPherson,

Portlock; and a beloved sister-in-law, Norma Jean Arnold.

Norma was raised primary in Mills County, TX. Her parents were farmers and

Norma and her husband, the late R.C. McPherson, raised their children in
Port Arthur, TX. He worked at the Gulf Refinery and Norma at Henke &
Pillot, Weingartens, and A&P Grocery Stores, before moving on to Great
Lakes Carbon Corporation for almost 25 years until retiring in 1982.

Mother was one of the kindest and gentlest people in the world. She loved
her family with a passion – both those that are still alive and the ones
that have passed on. What a reunion she is having now in Heaven!

The family would like to thank the small care home, Chateau-Woodlands, for
their love and devotion to the care shown Mom during the last 14 months of
her precious life. We are also very thankful for the services of Vitas
Hospice Care during that same period.

Friends may visit with Norma’s family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March
16, at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77355
(281-252-3428). The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday,
March 17, in the funeral home chapel.
