Weisbrod, Harris hailed all-region first team

Lamar State College Port Arthur sophomores Colton Weisbrod and Jordon Harris were both named to the All-Region XIV first team Tuesday.
The sophomores were also given first-team honors on the All-Region XIV South Zone list announced by the league.
Weisbrod, a Nederland native and future Lamar Cardinal, averaged 21.4 points and 10.8 rebounds a game in his only season with the Seahawks (24-10). LSCPA reached the semifinals of the Region XIV Tournament and lost 79-75 to Panola College on Friday.
Harris, a Louisiana-Monroe signee, averaged 18.5 points and 2.9 assists per game in his second year at LSCPA.
LSCPA sophomore Mambi Diawara was named to the Honorable Mention squad for South Zone. Diawara averaged 12.9 points and 6.6 boards a contest.
