There were 4,923 votes cast in Precinct 3 out of 144,833 registered voters in the county.

Sinegal had a huge lead in early voting and never looked back.

“We worked this one hard,” Sinegal said. “I’m tired, but I’m also so happy.”

“The Port Arthur News has been a blessing. Y’all tell it like it is. Y’all print the truth and I feel vindicated from the negative attacks and the dirty campaigning.”

He believes he won his election because it came down to how one treats people day by day and how one lives their life.

“I’ve always had an open door policy and an open heart,” he said.

In fact, whenever Sinegal is out and about in public, he said people often come up to him and tell them about their problems.

Before heading back to work as a commissioner, Sinegal said he will visit his 85 year old mother at Washington-on the Brazos in the country and be at peace with God.
