Veronica Ann Comeaux

Veronica Ann Comeaux, 67, of Houston, Texas earned her wings on Saturday, January 30, 2016.  She was born January 21, 1949 to the Union of the late Alfred Comeaux and Mrs. Elnora Parker Comeaux in Port Arthur, Texas.  Veronica accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was confirmed as a Catholic at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Arthur, Texas.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Knights of St. Peter Claver Court #32 and a Bluebird Mother.  Additionally she was a member of the Texas Nursing Association.  Veronica was also a proud member of the 1967 class of Abraham Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, Texas.
After High School graduation, Veronica attended Lamar University in Port Arthur and married Rudy Lee Simpson December 28, 1968, and to that union three children were born.  In 1980, Veronica met and married the late Donald Louis Davis.  She was employed by Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur and in 1995 she moved from Port Arthur to Houston, Texas where she had been employed by Rosewood Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Baylor College of Medicine respectively.  In 2002, Veronica met and married Robert Carson.
Veronica is preceded in death by her son the late Roderick Lance Simpson (Choochie), her father the late Alfred Comeaux, and her brothers the late Tommy Carl Comeaux (Top Cat) and Aristile Comeaux (Will).
Veronica leaves to cherish her memory her mother,  Elnora Parker Comeaux; her children, her son Russell Simpson (Kim), Valencia Simpson (David); Grandchildren, Orenthal Lance-Lovell Simpson, Ta’leur Simpson, Russell Lovell Simpson Jr. and Harley Quinn Wiltz; Brothers, Alfred Comeaux (Lashundra), Donald Comeaux (Denise), Alvincent Comeaux (Tomiko), and Rudy Comeaux all of Houston; Sisters, Marie Comeaux Floyd (Donald) of Port Arthur and Elaine Marie Comeaux of Houston Texas, and a host of Special Friends and Family.
Services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, Feb. 13th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4600 Reed Road, Houston. Viewing will start at 9am until service time at 10am.   Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens.  For more information contact Sugar Land Mortuary 281-277-1818.
