Groves Police responded to the following calls from Dec. 30 through Jan. 5

Wednesday, Dec. 30

  • An iPhone6 was stolen from the 3600 block of Canal.
  • A disturbance was reported in the 2700 block of Boyd.
  • A 55-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 5500 block of West Washington.

Thursday, Dec. 31

  • A 30-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 5700 block of 32nd Street.
  • A vehicle parked in the 6200 block of 32nd Street was struck by another vehicle that left the scene.

Friday, Jan. 1

  • Two men were arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 5000 block of 39th Street.
  • A 43-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants when officers were called about a disturbance in the 2900 block of Terrace.
  • An assault and disturbance were reported in the 6100 block of Cove.
  • A 36-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants and a 30-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 5000 block of 34th Street.
  • A 37-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after officers were called about an unwanted person in the 2700 block of Second Avenue.
  • The report of a threat was made.
  • A parked vehicle was struck by a vehicle that left the scene in the 5300 block of 25th Street.

Saturday, Jan. 2

Sunday, Jan. 3

  • A laptop computer and cash were stolen from a residence in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • Two vehicles were broken into in the 5400 block of West Groves Circle.
  • A 23-year-old male was arrested on outstanding Groves and Jefferson County warrants in the 3400 block of East Parkway.

Monday, Jan. 3

  • Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Main.
  • The driver of a white Jeep drove in and out of a ditch creating ruts in the 3100 block of South.
  • A green Next bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 6500 block of Val.
  • Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.
  • An assault was reported in the 3000 block of High Avenue.
  • An assault was reported in the 6800 block of Howe.
  • A 36-year-old male was arrested for driving while license invalid and no license plate light in the 3100 block of Main.
  • A 37-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 6500 block of Adams.

Tuesday, Jan. 5

  • A disturbance and assault were reported in the 6600 block of Howe.
  • Identify theft was reported when the victim discovered a bank account opened in her name without her knowledge.
  • Unauthorized charges were made to a bank account.
  • Telephone harassment was reported.
  • A 33-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession or ingestion of certain prohibited substances in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
  • A 33-year-old male was arrested for criminal trespass in a habitation in the 5800 block of Georgia.
  • A 33-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
