Police identified a man who died after being struck by a vehicle on Memorial Boulevard Tuesday night as Cody Allen Comeaux, 30, of Port Arthur.

Port Arthur Police Maj. Raymond Clark said the man had been seen at The Medical Center and left walking toward the highway.

Police were dispatched to the 7900 block of Memorial Boulevard northbound lane and found that a 2013 Dodge Ram was traveling in the inside lane and struck the pedestrian.

The driver of the truck was on scene and cooperated with police.

PAPD’s Advanced Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene. Neither alcohol nor speed is believed to be a factor in the accident.
