The National Football League has just released its playoff schedule for the 2015-16 season, and the Houston Texans will get to kick off the whole party.
Fresh off clinching the AFC South championship with a 30-6 win over Jacksonville on Sunday, the Texans (9-7) will duke it out with their first opponent of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs, at 3:35 p.m. Saturday at NRG Stadium in Houston. ABC (KBMT-12) or ESPN will carry that game.
Kansas City (11-5), the AFC West runner-up seeded fourth, won the first meeting 27-20 on Sept. 13, but the Chiefs have played the final 11 weeks without Port Arthur Memorial graduate Jamaal Charles, who is out for the season with an ACL tear. Houston is seeded fifth.
