Clara Perry, 83, of Port Arthur, TX died Monday, December 14, 2015 at Southeast Texas Medical Hospital.  She was a native of Plaisance Community of Opelousas, Louisiana and a resident of Port Arthur for over 60 years.  She was a member of Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Perry of Dallas, TX and Gary Perry (Bonita) of Beaumont, TX; three daughters, Joy Henley of Port Arthur, TX, Marcia Lester (James) of Dallas, TX and Karen Freeman (Zephra) of Flower Mound, TX; two sisters Lillie Cole of Port Arthur, TX and Louise Broussard of Lake Charles, LA; one brother Wilson “J.D.” Jones of Port Arthur, TX; ten grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; a devoted caregiver Sherlene Boutte, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 9 am to 11 am, funeral service following at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Lloyd Scott officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
