Kirby Ted Babineaux

Kirby Ted Babineaux, 61, of Nederland, died Friday, November 13, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born on October 4, 1954, in Beaumont, to Betty Lou Bacon and Kirby Babineaux.
Kirby graduated from Nederland High School in 1973. He joined the Iron Worker Local #135 in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Kerri Babineaux; daughters, Nikki Afinowicz and her husband, Caine; and Amy Babineaux; son, Joey Babineaux, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Kaycie Daws, Keyton Daws, Koby Taylor, Kallye Taylor, Kayden Taylor, Maggie Babineaux, Brayden Babineaux, Drew Babineaux; and Savana Afinowicz; great-grandchildren, Caesyn Orta and Camden Orta; brother, Ricky Babineaux and his wife, Kim, of Pearland; sisters, Debra Babineaux Wester of Beaumont; Paula Babineaux and Judy Johnson, both of Pearland; Lisa Patterson and her husband, Eddie, of Bridge City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Andy Babineaux.
A gathering of Mr. Babineaux’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m., with a celebration of life at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
