John “Johnny” Everett Wilson, Jr., 76, of Groves passed away Friday, November 14, 2015 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.  Johnny was born July, 4, 1939 in Port Arthur to the late John Wilson, Sr and Olive Wilson Bell.   Johnny was a graduate from Port Neches- Groves High School and Sam Houston College, Huntsville, TX.  He was a lifetime member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Brotherhood of Eagles, Port Neches, TX.

Johnny was a man who loved his family and always looked forward to family gatherings.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, hunting and Billiards.  He spent many hours gardening and tending to his yard.  He was a Little League coach and Pony Colt for many years. 

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Rhonda Wilson Litchfield.

Johnny is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Deanna Maureen Wilson; son, Gary Wilson; granddaughter, Jenna Litchfield and son in law, Roger Litchfield;

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery, Port Neches.
