Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from Oct. 14 through Oct. 22

Wednesday, Oct. 14

  • A person was arrested for unlawful carrying a weapon/possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Jefferson Drive.
  • Criminal trespass/criminal mischief was reported in the 900 block of 17th Street.
  • Criminal mischief was reported at St. Joseph Church, 4600 Procter St.
  • Six items of Elektralite concert lighting equipment and Sennheiser wireless microphone and transmitter were stolen from the 2500 block of 62nd Street.
  • A person was arrested for assault-family violence in the 700 block of 11th Street.
  • Burglary of a habitation and metal theft was reported in the 2200 block of Seventh Avenue.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 4000 block of Fourth Street.
  • A home in the 5800 block of Charles Avenue was burglarized.
  • Burglary of a habitation-family violence was reported at Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7631 Ninth Ave.

Thursday, Oct. 15

  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 3700 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A speaker box and backpack with miscellaneous papers and books were stolen from Taco El Campeon, 3049 Gulfway Drive.
  • A homemade waterfall constructed of rocks and seashells was stolen from the 2300 block of Norma.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Arthur Square Apartments, 1501 Poole Ave.
  • A person was robbed at Port Arthur Townhomes, 3500 block of Turtle Creek Drive.
  • State jail criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Central Mall parking lot, 3100 FM 365.
  • Theft was reported in the 5800 block of Hazel Avenue.
  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 3900 block of Fifth Street.
  • Abandoning/endangering a child was reported at Timber Creek Apartments, 3603 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • Tires and wheels were stolen from a vehicle at Airport Wrecker, 6351 W. Port Arthur Road.
  • Theft of services was reported in the 3400 block of Platt Avenue.
  • Theft of a gas meter was reported in the 2100 block of Thomas Boulevard.
  • Burglary of a coin operated machine was reported at Fabric Care Center, 2925 25th St.
  • A building at Gulfway’s Best Deal Motors, 4740 Gulfway Drive, was burglarized.
  • Felony theft of a Frigidaire air conditioning unit was reported in the 3300 block of Fifth Street.
  • Theft was reported in the 3900 block of Lansing.

 Friday, Oct. 16

  • A battery was stolen from a vehicle at Horizon Apartments, 1501 Poole Ave.
  • A generator, air compressor, two drills, air hose, Craftsman trimmer, Dewalt 12-inch saw and two mini-refrigerators were stolen from a building in the 6500 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 3300 block of Roya Court.
  • A 2013 Dodge Charger was stolen from the 2100 block of Evergreen Drive.
  • A 5-inch LG flat screen TV was stolen from a home in the 1900 block of 13th Street.
  • Assault was reported in the 7600 block of Anchor Drive.

  • A person was arrested for the theft of $243.85 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
  • A 43-inch Vizio TV was stolen from a residence at Heatherbrook Apartments, 7908 Heatherbrook Trail.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated-second offense, following a traffic accident in the 1100 block of St. Augustine.
  • Miscellaneous motorcycle parts, fishing rods and reels and a boat propeller were stolen from a storage unit at AAA American Min-Storage, 8989 Memorial Blvd.
  • A juvenile was assaulted by four other juveniles in the 8500 block of Texas Avenue.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported after a person threatened another person with a shotgun in the 3300 block of Second Avenue.
  • Assault was reported in the 8500 block of Memorial Boulevard.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 3400 block of 27th Street.
  • A 2008 Chevrolet HHR was stolen from Bet Tree Apartments, 7219 Lake Arthur Drive.

 Saturday, Oct. 17

  • A person was arrested for abandoning/endangering a child at Port Arthur Park Apartments, 1348 Jefferson Drive, after two children were seen walking around the parking lot unsupervised.
  • An Echo weedeater, 27-inch Viewsonic TV, iPad mini, iPhone, Black and Decker drill, Makita sawzall, Craftsman cordless drive, black leather jacket and Dewalt sawzall machine were stolen from a home in the 3200 block of 17th Street.
  • A person was arrested for assault-family violence in the 3400 block of 27th Street.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 2200 block of 10th Street.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
  • A wallet an various bank and identification cards was stolen from a vehicle at Kingdom Church, 3600 Memorial Blvd.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 3400 block of 27th Street.
  • Cruelty to non-livestock animals was reported after a dog was shot in the 2300 block of Evergreen Drive. The dog was brought to an emergency veterinarian but died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen and thorax.
  • Attempted burglary of a habitation was reported in the 2400 block of Fourth Avenue.
  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 1600 block of 14th Street.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 1500 block of East Eighth Street.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass at the U.S. Postal Service office, 345 Lakeshore Drive.
  • A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Peek Avenue. The suspect was found to be in possession of nine ecstasy tablets and a Scope bottle with a liquid believed to be PCP.

Sunday, Oct. 18

  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing a vehicle through a stop sign, two back yards, a picnic table and into a shed in the 1100 block of Sabine Avenue. The vehicle’s engine was still running and in gear and the driver had locked all of the doors and was unable to be awakened. Officers forced entry and were able to safely place the vehicle in park before arrested the person. An open container of alcohol was located inside the vehicle.
  • Interference with child custody was reported in the 3000 block of 12th Avenue.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 200 block of West 15th Street.
  • A bicycle, cell phone and 6-inch speaker were stolen from a person at Gulfway Mart, 3892 Gulfway Drive.
  • A man was arrested for indecent exposure after being caught masturbating in his vehicle in the parking lot H.E.B., 4800 FM 365.
  • A CD player/amplifier were stolen from a vehicle at Chuck’s Transmission, 4300 Sheppard Avenue.
  • A 2005 Acura was stolen from the 1200 block of Rosedale Avenue.
  • A person was arrested for reckless driving after being observed driving while a child unrestrained at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, 2555 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • A vehicle window was damaged by a BB pellet in the 2100 block of 11th Avenue.
  • State jail felony graffiti was reported at Stephen F. Austin Ninth Grade Center, 2441 61st St.
  • Burglary of a building was reported at Port Arthur International Seafarers Center, 401 Houston Ave.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 2100 block of Evergreen Drive.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3900 block of Memorial Boulevard.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7601 Ninth Ave.
  • Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of 12th Street.

 Monday, Oct. 19

  • Burglary of a habitation was reported at Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7631 Ninth Ave.
  • A person was arrested for aggravated assault following a fight at Homerun Convenience Store, 1403 Jefferson Drive.
  • An Xbox with two wireless controllers, FIFA 16 Xbox game, FIFA 15 Xbox game and a 2K15 basketball Xbox game were stolen from a residence at Farnham Park Apartmets, 3333 Turtle Creek Drive.
  • A person suffered a collapsed lung after being struck with a pipe that was thrown during an altercation in the 800 block of Welford Avenue.
  • A 42-inch LG flat screen TV, Toshiba laptop, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, amplifier and Toshiba laptop in carrying case were stolen from a residence at Rosedale Trailer Park, 1448 Rosedale Ave.
  • A person stopped for a traffic violation was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, 1.87 grams of crack cocaine.
  • A person was arrested for marijuana, .356 ounces, in the 2400 block of Glenwood. Officers also found a box of clear plastic sandwich bags and a scale in the vehicle.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

  • A man was arrested for indecent exposure after being caught masturbating in his vehicle in the parking lot of Party City, 2770 FM 365.
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass at Central Mall, 3100 FM 365.
  • A Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of 13th Street.
  • A Craftsman self-propelled lawnmower, Stihl weedeater/edger combo, Craftsman gas powered hedge trimmer and gas powered leaf blower were stolen from a building in the 3300 block of Seventh Street.
  • Multiple electronic items were stolen from a home in the 3400 block of 10th Street.
  • A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.

 Wednesday, Oct. 21

  • A man was assaulted and robbed in the 4000 block of Procter Street.
  • Terroristic threat was reported at Valley View Estates, 5801 N. Twin City Hwy.
  • A man was assaulted and robbed at Sunset Way Apartments, 3280 Central Mall Drive.
  • The theft of more than $114 worth of merchandise was stolen and recovered at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.
  • An Xbox gaming system was stolen from a residence at Cedar Ridge Apartments, 7615 Ninth Ave.
  • A Smith and Wesson 9 mm handgun with two fully loaded clips were stolen from a vehicle in the 5800 block of Wheatley Avenue.

 Thursday, Oct. 22

  • An HP 17inch laptop, Samsung 21-inch flat screen TV, file folder with birth certificate, tax information, school information and passport, Michael Kors purse with Sony camera inside, ladies flower print watch and small tin of coins were stolen from a residence at Arthur Square Apartments, 1601 Poole Ave.
  • A person was arrested for assault-family violence-impede breathing and circulation in the 3900 block of Lakeshore Drive.
  • A John Deere 42-inch cut riding mower was stolen from the 2700 block of Anne Street.
