1923-2015

Earl Williams, 92, of Port Arthur, departed the Earth peacefully on, October 20, 2015 at Lake Arthur Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Earl was born March 30, 1923 in Abbeville, LA to the late Adolph and Carrie Williams, Sr.
Earl proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Gulf Oil Company for 34 years. He was one of the founding members of East Mount Olive Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, twelve siblings, and two grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Sarah Williams, three daughters, Jewel Johnson (William) of Port Arthur, Elouise Brannon, and Rose Lowe of Beaumont, one son Lester Simpson Jr. (Ella) of Dallas. In addition, he leaves eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2015 at East Mount Olive Baptist Church, 800 Thomas Blvd., Port Arthur, Texas with Dr. Lee Edwards Fields officiating. Visitation begins at 9 am with the service starting promptly at 11 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gabriel Funeral Home of Port Arthur, Tx and burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Groves, TX.
