Groves Public Library to host book sale

Published 8:18 am Monday, October 26, 2015

Groves Public Library will host a “skyrocket” book sale on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27 and 28. According to library staff, the term “skyrocket” is used because the entire sale will be conducted within 24 hours. “Exciting blast off, tremendous activity…and then it’s over.” Sale hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

In addition to hardback and paperback fiction, the sale will feature a wide variety and selection of nonfiction topics, including cooking, gardening, politics, health, religion, biography and history. A huge selection of used DVDs and videos will be available, as will children’s books and faith-based fiction.

Shoppers may be assured that items will be priced to move quickly, with most prices ranging from a quarter to a dollar. There will also be one table with “special price” items for the gift-quality offerings.
