Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 24 through Sept. 30:

Thursday, Sept. 24

  • Burglary of a coin operated machine was reported at Normandy Apartments, 3600 Normandy Drive.
  • A person was hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat and bit on the thigh during an assault at Louis Manor Apartments, 1300 Joe Louis Ave.
  • Two people were arrested for theft of a two Polo shirts, valued at $196, at Dillard’s, 3100 FM 365.
  • A home in the 800 block of St. Augustine was burglarized.
  • A personalized license plate and dealer’s tag were stolen from Mid-County Chrysler Dodge , 8181 U.S. 69.
  • A Troybilt riding mower, generator mounted on a yellow wagon and various extension cords were stolen from a building in the 2200 block of Orchid Street.
  • A Bluetooth speaker, tablet and garage owner were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 4400 block of Jasonwood Court.
  • A Playstation 3 and two Playstation 3 controllers were stolen from a residence at Villa Main Apartments, 901 Main Ave.
  • A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 7500 block of Ninth Avenue. Officers located a glass pipe and case for the pipe, two empty plastic bags with residue of a crystal-like substance and a clear baggie containing 0.36 grams of a crystal-like substance.
  • A person suspected of burglarizing a home was shot by the homeowner in the 900 block of West Gulfway Drive.
  • A person was taken into custody for assault-family violence in the 3300 block of Seventh Street.

Friday, Sept. 25

  • A person was arrested for possession of marijuana, 2.06 grams, in the 100 block of West 14th Street.
  • Assault was reported at Memorial High School, 3501 Lucian Adams Blvd.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated with blood alcohol level of .15 in the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.
  • A Michael Kors purse with $220 in cash was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Pecos Avenue.
  • A home in the 3300 block of Roshan Court was burglarized and $11 was stolen.
  • A home in the 4400 block of Rolling Rock Lane was burglarized and $3,500 in cash and $300 in gift cards was stolen.
  • The handicap ramp and stairs at the Sabine Pass Post Office, 5424 Tremont St., was damaged by a vehicle for the second time in six months.
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at Avery Trace Apartments, 4160 FM 365.
  • A double barreled shotgun, TV and $800 in frozen shrimp were stolen from a home in the 2500 block of 61st Street.
  • A wallet with various cards and some cash was stolen from a vehicle at Monk Law Firm, 8525 Ninth Ave.
  • A Coach purse with varies cards, cash and important papers was stolen from a home in the 2200 block of Fifth Street.

Saturday, Sept. 26

  • A side-by-side refrigerator/freezer was stolen from a home in the 900 block of DeQueen Boulevard.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated-open container in the 2200 block of Jefferson Drive.
  • Aggravated sexual assault was reported in the 3900 block of Eighth Avenue.
  • An assault was reported in the 600 block of West Gulfway.
  • A person was arrested for theft at Dillard’s, 3100 FM 365.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Pebble Creek Apartments, 4221 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
  • A cooler style lunch bag containing Social Security card, an out-of-date Visa card and a Bercer Thunder 380 caliber pistol were stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of 62nd Street.
  • An assault was reported at Ray’s Carwash, 8201 Ninth Ave.
  • An assault was reported at Prince Hall Apartments, 914 W. 14th St.
  • Burglary of a coin operated machine was reported at Fabric Care, 2925 25th St.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 2600 block of 61st Street.
  • A vehicle reported stolen in Port Neches was located at Avery Trace Apartments, 4020 FM 365.
  • A person showed up at Christus Hospital-St. Mary with a stab wound.

Sunday, Sept. 27

  • Several bath towels, a Bulls baseball cap, gold child’s ring with the letter “C” and matching necklace, Michael Kors purse and Gucci purse were stolen from a home in the 4500 block of 13th Street.
  • Aggravated sexual assault of a child was reported in the 3300 block of 27th Street.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3800 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • Aggravated assault-family violence reported in the 1000 block of 12th Avenue.
  • Two people were arrested for fraud/destroy or remove concealment writing after removing bar codes off items and exchanging them with less expensive items at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 5200 block of Procter Street.
  • Assault-family violence and criminal mischief were reported in the 5200 Procter Street.
  • Items were stolen from a storage unit at A1 Rental Storage, 3249 25th St.
  • A passport, Norinco brand SKS rifle, Palmetto State Armour brand AR 15, Remington 710 300 Win Mag with Bushnell scope, 30-06 wooden stock rifle and level 3 Kevlar body armour vest were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of 59th Street.
  • A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of weapon in the 8600 block of Memorial Boulevard.
  • A Honda Civic car key, LG cell phone, silver necklace and cigarettes were stolen from a person in the 900 block of Houston Avenue.

Monday, Sept. 28

  • A green and black 110CC Shengzen all-terrain vehicle and a blue and black 110 CC Shengzen ATV were stolen from a residence t The Willows, 7924 Willowood Lane.
  • A Graco brand paint sprayer and two Graco spray guns were stolen from a trailer parked on top of the Rainbow Bridge. Approximately 100 feet of high-pressure tank hoses and air lines were also damaged.
  • A self-propelled lawnmower and two weed eaters were stolen from a building in the 3400 block of Ninth Street.
  • A homicide was reported behind Royal Furniture, 4221 Gulfway Drive.
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported at a local hospital after a man went for treatment of a gunshot wound.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 3300 block of Third Avenue.
  • A Snapper self-propelled push mower, Stihl weed trimmer, electric motorized 50-foot plumbing snake, Arien’s self-propelled push mower, leaf blower and a pressure washer were stolen from a building in the 2300 block of 10th Street.
  • A residence in the 8300 block of Tanglewood Lane was burglarized.
  • A runaway was reported in the 4100 block of Ashland Avenue.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Louis Manor Apartments, 1300 Joe Louis.
  • A Nike brand duffle bag with miscellaneous sporting clothes and shoes was stolen from the Senior Citizen Recreation Center, 1308 Ninth Ave.
  • Ten cartons of assorted Marlboro cigarettes and a number of sodas were stolen from Murphy USA, 4995 Twin City Hwy. Surveillance video captured the suspect who is described as a white male wearing a bandana over his head, black shorts and long white socks.
  • Assault-family violence was reported and a man was arrested on an unrelated charge in the 4000 block of Dryden Road.

Tuesday, Sept. 29

  • A Springfield Armory XP40 .40 caliber pistol and $750 were stolen from a vehicle at Ninth Avenue Station Apartments, 7225 Ninth Ave. The gun was later found in the 4800 block of 13th Street.
  • A person was arrested for assault-family violence in the 4300 block of 36th Street.
  • A person was arrested for failure to identify fugitive from justice in the 2500 block of Rosedale Avenue.
  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 1000 block of Smith Street.
  • A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 2300 block of Rosedale Avenue. The purse was later recovered.
  • Assault was reported in the 3800 block of Rachel Avenue.
  • Assorted jewelry and four ladies handbags were stolen from a home in the 400 block of Foley Avenue.
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported in the 1800 block of 15th Street.
  • Various bank cards, identification cards and keys were stolen from a vehicle at Bayou Café, 8460 Central Mall Drive.
  • A person was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 5800 block of Ninth Avenue.
  • A person was arrested for retaliation in the 1500 block of Fourth Avenue.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

  • Assault-family violence was reported at Arthur Square Apartments, 1548 Main Ave.
  • A homicide was reported in the 2000 block of Stanley Boulevard.
  • Assault-family violence was reported at Pebble Creek Apartments.
  • A person was arrested for reckless driving in the 300 block of West FM 365 after being spotted traveling 91 mph in a 45 mph zone.
