An avid fisherman, gardener, craftsman, and genealogist, Thomas enjoyed his hobbies and his bluegrass gospel music, but gave his passion to the service of his church. He found joy in helping seniors through the Hillcrest Baptist Church Happy Harvesters and through volunteer service at local care facilities. Thomas was preceded in passing by his parents; and his older brothers, Rupert Pullig and Malcolm Pullig.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Thomas will begin at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Drive, Nederland, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Interment for Thomas will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Old Ramah Cemetery, Ashland, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, Thomas wished for donations made to Hillcrest Happy Harvesters at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
The family is thankful for the love and support of many friends and caregivers who gave of their time to help Thomas in his final days. Of special note, the Pullig family wishes to thank Lanett, April, Selina, and Marilyn, special caregivers whose loving devotion over many months provided support and respite for the family.
