Jeanette Borel Linthicum

Jeanette Borel Linthicum, 81, of Port Arthur passed away on October 8, 2015
She was born on October 27, 1933 to Antoinette Olivier Borel and Jacque Borel in St. Martinville, Louisiana.  She moved with her family to the Port Arthur area in 1944 and attended Thomas Jefferson High School where she met the love of her life, Max Linthicum, Jr.
Jeanette was a member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas.  Jeanette was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her life was devoted to taking care of her family. She loved large family gatherings, creating memories and lifelong family traditions that will continue in her legacy. Her love of homemaking, cooking and sewing was evident in the care she took in everything she did, including designing & making her daughter’s cheerleading uniforms, prom dresses, wedding gowns and one-of-a-kind special occasion outfits.  She spent endless hours at ball fields, soccer fields and basketball courts as an enthusiastic fan of all her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. And of course she loved rooting for her favorite teams, the Astros and Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Max Linthicum, Jr. and her son-in-law, A.M. “Bobby” Aikin.  She is survived by her four daughters, Debbie Aikin of Commerce, Texas, Cheryl Bogart and her husband Cliff of Carrollton, Texas, Janice Kalbacher and her husband, Gerald of Houston, Texas, Laura Linthicum and partner, Daryl Gordon of Dallas, Texas, her three sons Max “Bubba” Linthicum, III of Nederland, Texas, Brian Linthicum and his wife, Vicki of Groves, Texas, Gary Linthicum and wife Rachel of Beaumont, Texas, seventeen grandchildren, Christopher Aikin, C.J. Bogart, Kyle Bogart, Natalie Hall, Vanessa Wombles, Daniel Kalbacher, Kevin Kalbacher, Adrienne Kalbacher, Simone Gordon, Max “Boo” Linthicum IV, Scott Linthicum, Antoinette Gonzales, David Linthicum, Brandon Cropper, Chris Cropper, Travis Linthicum, Shannon Linthicum and her eight great-grandchildren, Jada Linthicum, Madisyn Linthicum, Owen Linthicum, Olivia Gonzales, Callie Cropper, Max Cropper, Bryan Cropper, Claire Cropper.
She is also survived by two of her brothers, Vernon Borel of Mobile, Alabama and Melvin Borel of San Antonio, Texas, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A gathering of family and friends at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves will be Sunday, October 11, 2015. Gathering from 5:00-6:30, Family Tributes at 6:30 and a Rosary at 7:00.  Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 2:00 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur, Texas.
