Roydrick Lynn Calcote

Roydrick Lynn Calcote, 39, of Port Arthur TX, passed away on Friday, September 18th in Beaumont, TX.
He was born to Roy and Mary Calcote on April 14, 1976 in Port Arthur, TX. He was a 1994 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, where he played baseball. Roydrick also played baseball for Grambling State University. At the time of his death, he was employed with AmSpec as a Chemical Inspector.
Roydrick accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour and became a member of New Light Church in Beaumont, Texas. Sometime later he began attending Triumph Church in Nederland, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Carl Diles, Jr., his Grandparents, Roy and Marie Calcote, Jim Bowden, and Charlotte Phillips, and 2 Uncles, Edwin Chargois and Lawrence Steward.
Left to cherish memories are his loving and devoted parents, Roy and Mary Calcote; three brothers, Jeffrey (Crystal) Calcote of Midland, TX; Tracye Calcote of Grambling, LA., Byron Anderson of Port Arthur, TX; three sisters, Kim Kennerly of Port Arthur, TX; Yolander (Steve) Johnson, and Stacy Calcote all of Grambling, LA., a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, friends, and special friend, Yonit.
Services will be Saturday, September 26th, at Eastern Star Baptist Church, with visitation from 9 am to 11 am. Funeral immediately following. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
