Rachel Edward Joseph, 54, of Port Arthur passed away Thursday, August 24, 2015 at Christus St. Mary Hospital.  A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, he was a 1979 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ.  He was employed with the City of Port Arthur and enjoyed painting as a hobby throughout the city.
He is preceded in death by his father Rachel Joseph.
Rachel is survived by his wife, Brenetta Joseph and step son Anthony Zeno of Dallas, TX; his mother Lou M. Shedrick and three sisters, Carletha White and Shirley Pitre all of Port Arthur, TX and Willie B. Shepard of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ, 2948 Thomas Blvd., Port Arthur, TX 77642 with a viewing from 12 noon until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
