Marvin James Reado, 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 quietly at his home. He was born August 10, 1948 to Arthur and Lottie Mae (Parker) Reado. He was a 1966 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. He graduated Texas Southern University with a degree in Business Administration, working at BF Goodrich for 5 years, later furthering his career at Michigan State by earning a BA in Marketing. He worked for Dow Chemical in Sales and Distribution Midland, Michigan for 14 years and later transferred to their Freeport, Texas plant and worked there for another 3 years before retiring. He had resided in Beaumont, Texas with the marriage to his wife Juanita Stewart, April 14, 1998. Together they owned and operated a Janitorial Service until his illness. He loved and was an active member of The Church Of The Living God, Beaumont, TX where he served her well as a member of the Male Chorus and lay ministries. He was never without a joke or an optimistic view point.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Reado; 2 brothers, Arthur P. Reado and Patrick J. Reado, Marvin (Topsy) is survived by brothers, Russell V. Reado and Kenneth R. Reado of Port Arthur, Theo P. (Elaine) Reado of Houston; 4 sisters, Beulah Faye (James) Wilson of Webster, TX, Cheroyl Ann (Jimmie) Baldwin of Friendswood, TX, Lloyd Marie (Farrell) Johnson of Port Arthur and Lowra Ann (Rogers) Harrison of Port Arthur; 2 sons, Nick Haynes Jr. of Houston, TX and Garrick Haynes of Kansas City, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Job, Gabriel, Nyshelle, and Seth; 8 nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11AM. There will be a viewing from 9-11AM. Interment will follow funeral services at Memory Gardens, Nederland, TX. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Pruitt’s Mortuary in the Heights, 7518 N. Main, Houston, TX.
