Lucille Broussard, 84, of Nederland, died Monday, August 31, 2015, at Serenity Assisted Care Living in Beaumont. She was born on February 17, 1931, in Port Arthur, to Gilberte and Francois Domec, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Wilson Fred Broussard, of Nederland; children, Brenda McCord and her husband, Bobby, of Rockwall; Glenda Shoemake and her husband, Michael, of Heath; Charlene Lee, of Houston; Curtis Broussard, of Groves; Wanda Hickey and her husband, Randy, of Houston; Roger Broussard and his wife, Jessica Babcock, of Huntsville, Alabama; Ralph Broussard, of Nederland; and Carolyn Kelly and her husband, Bobby, of Nederland; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and seven brothers.
A gathering of Mrs. Broussard’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
