Gertrude Mason Jacobs, 91, of Port Neches, Texas died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Holland Place in Nederland, Texas.
Gertrude was born September 30, 1923 in Port Arthur, Texas to Rudolph Moreau and Bessie Eve Landry Moreau.  Gertrude lived in Port Arthur from 1979 to 2005, moved to Louisiana and returned to Port Neches in 2013 to be closer to her daughter, Patty Mason.
Gertrude worked for Dr. Carrabelle where she assisted with patients in the office and in surgery, she retired after 18 years of service.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 with a Rosary recited by the Port Neches Knights of Columbus #2461 to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jacobs and son, Glenn Mason.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Patty Mason of Port Neches, Texas; Rita Higgins of Groves, Texas; daughter- in-law, Vicki Mason of Nederland, Texas; son, David Mason of Hurst, Texas; step-daughter, Debbie Tutton and husband Jimmy of Spurger, Texas;  step-son, Rodney Jacobs and wife Bobbie of Fields, Louisiana; brother, Rudy Moreau and wife Dorothy of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Koy Mason and wife Angela, Chanda Phelps and husband Trent, Sarah Tyre and husband Gary, Clay Campbell and wife Angel; great-grandchildren, Cade Phelps, Alyssa Phelps, Tori Phelps, Kyle Delk, Hannah Campbell, Morgan Campbell, Jake Wilson, and Josh Wilson.
