Johnnie Ruth Girard, 72, of Port Arthur, TX, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Johnnie Ruth was born February 2, 1943 in Port Arthur to George and Josie Girard. She was a loving sister, daughter and aunt. Johnnie Ruth enjoyed going out to eat and to the movies. She loved bowling, music and her favorite color was purple.
Johnnie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, George Girard and his wife, Linda of Kirbyville; sister, Mary Lu Wanna Provencio; and 7 nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a “Special Thank You” to the staff at Avalon Nursing Home for the great care they gave Johnnie Ruth.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier- Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Johnnie Ruth Girard will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
