Robert Joseph Tiblier

Robert Joseph Tiblier, 63, of Port Arthur, died August 10, 2015 in Beaumont. Mr. Tiblier was a native of and lifelong resident of Port Arthur and served his country U.S. Navy, with tours of duty in Korea, California and Hawaii. He was a member of United States Submarine Veterans Club Golden Triangle Base, the American Legion Post 7 and the Veterans of Foreign in Wars in Orange, the Sertoma Club and the Knights of Columbus and attended St. Henry’s Catholic Church; he was a U.S.P.S. mail carrier.
Mr. Tiblier, was preceded by his father, Julian George Tiblier; his wife, Betty Tiblier and a daughter Noel Dawn Kortz. He is survived by his mother, Rita Tiblier of Houston; two daughters, Dana Tiblier of Nashville, TN and Christina McAdams of Sour Lake, TX; three brothers George Tiblier, Timothy Tiblier and Thomas Tiblier all of Houston; one sister, Carloyn Wyatt of Palestine, TX; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Tiblier was also survived by his companion Mrs. Georgia Griffith of Bridge City.
Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30am Thursday, August 13, 2015, in the Chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. The family will receive friends tonight from 5:00 until 8:00pm at Grammier- Oberle. Mr. Tiblier will be interred in the Houston National Cemetery.
