Gladys Louise Domingue, Born July 23, 1926 in Port Neches, Texas to Louise and Eddie Boudreaux, third of eight children.  She lost her husband of 71 years Horace Domingue this past April.  She is survived by two children Michael Domingue of Goffstown, NH and Pamela (Buick) Orzell of Fort Collins, CO.
She leaves behind grandchildren Angela Cote and Ryan Domingue and great grandchildren Sarah and Emily Cote, Chelsey, Joshua and Zakary Domingue.  Siblings, Dudley Boudreaux, Leona Brittian, Edward Boudreaux and Bill Boudreaux of Port Neches, TX and Gloria Fishell of Sedona, AZ.
Affectionately known by them as “Boo”. She moved to Crowley, Louisiana during WWII to live with her sister Helen, met and fell in love with Army soldier Horace Domingue. While he was overseas she wrote to him every night.
On the back of the picture above she had written, “she’d be there when he gets back from the war.” They followed the military for 27 years with tours in Puerto Rico and two tours in Germany.  Finally in 1968 they settled in El Paso, Texas where Gladys finally got her own home. So from 1968 to 2008 it was her happy home.  She was very active in the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and loved to garden. In 2008 due to her husband’s declining health they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to be near her daughter, Pam. She seemed to thrive upon moving into the Rigden Farm community and where she also made two wonderful friends, Joan and Sally.  She and Joan loved to do puzzles and crochet hats that were given to children in need. In 2011 her children arranged to fly Mom to Port Neches, Texas to celebrate her 85th birthday with her brothers and sisters.  She laughed and smiled for four days with all her siblings as they enjoyed telling stories about each other from their early days. Gladys passed away peacefully at Pathways Hospice care at McKee hospital in Loveland, Colorado on July 25, 2015.  She was surrounded by her loving children and their spouse’s, daughter Pam and husband Mike Orzell and her son Michael and wife Ann Domingue.
