Noah Daw

Noah Daw was born on January 16, 1933 in Alabama, but was raised in Mississippi.  He was the eldest of 12 born to William and Darcy Daw, but was raised by his stepmother Viola Daw and his father. At age 16, he and his brother Willie migrated to Houston, TX.  In 1955, he moved to Port Arthur, TX, where he went to work for Oliver Manufacturing as a truck driver and carpenter.  In 1957, he met and married his wife, Ella R. Livings Daw. Together, the couple had three children, Deborah, Paula, and Noah Eric. He had one younger daughter, Ursula Francis.  He was a member of Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church, under the stewardship of Rev. McCarthy, where he served as a member of the Usher Board and the Male Chorus.  Deacon Noah Daw became a deacon over 40 years ago at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. He held this position as Head Deacon until he put on his Heavenly wings on July 25, 2015.
Homegoing services for Deacon Noah Daw will be held onAugust 8, 2015 at 11am at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, six siblings, wife Ella Rose Daw, daughter Paula Daw Swallow, granddaughter Jonelle Swallow, and grandson Lyndon J. Scott.  Services entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
