Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from July 3 through July 8
Friday, July 3
• Arcade Mini Storage, 5255 Gulfway Drive, was burglarized.
• A weedeater/blower, lawnmower, welding machine, chainsaw, toolboxes and Honda pressure washer were stolen from a building in the 3400 block of Ninth Street.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 2800 block of 95th Street following a traffic accident.
• An assault was reported at Hung Seafood restaurant, 830 Gilham Circle.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported at Raceway, 2705 Memorial Blvd., after a person was shot. The victim received medial treatment at a hospital but did not wish to file charges.
• Deadly conduct was reported at Raceway, 2705 Memorial Blvd., after someone shot at the business.
• A person was arrested for the state jail felony theft of a Dewalt 20-volt max battery, Craftsman quarter-inch impact driver, valued at $134.93, from Sears, 3100 FM 365.
• Theft was reported at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.
• Indecency with a child was reported in the 1500 block of Maple.
• A microwave was reported stolen from the 3600 block of Ninth Avenue.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 2900 block of 34th Street.
• A person was arrested for evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle in the 7500 block of Memorial Boulevard. Officers responded to a welfare check on a motorists traveling on two flat tires and taking up two lanes of traffic. Officers attempted to stop the driver who continued to travel at a slow speed even after police used lights, sirens and loud speaker. The vehicle eventually caught on fire from driving on bare rims and which time the driver fled on foot but was apprehended.
• Deadly conduct was reported after someone shot at a vehicle in the 6100 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
• A 1996 Honda Accord was found abandoned and wrecked with air bag deployed in the 3600 block of 12th Street.
• The center caps were stolen from a vehicle in the 3700 block of Lakeshore Drive.
• A motorcycle was reported stolen from the 1600 block of 18th Street.
• Four deep stock tanks made of galvanized steel were stolen from Five Star Feed, 580 FM 365.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 3000 block of Twin City Highway.
• Assault was reported at Paradise Condos, 4001 Memorial Blvd., after being assaulted by several people. One of the suspects drover a vehicle over her foot.
• A person was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine 0.07 grams, in the 1700 block of Ninth Avenue. The suspect then gave false information about his identity to an officer while at the jail.
Saturday, July 4
• A person returning home from out of town found his home had been burglarized and numerous items stolen including a 40-inch LED TV, microwave, DVD player, air conditioning unit, computer speakers, Bissell carpet cleaner, Ryobi chop saw, three miscellaneous boxes of wood and mechanical tools, Wahl hair clippers and a flat screen computer monitor in the 1300 block of 15th Street.
• Burglary of a building was reported at Figueroa’s Towing, 6018 Gulfway Drive.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Walmart parking lot, 4999 Twin City Hwy.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 3100 block of Thomas Boulevard.
• A 57-inch TV was stolen from a home in the 1700 block of Mobile.
• An assault was reported in the 5000 block of Tremont.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 300 block of 15th Street.
• A .40 caliber Kahr brand handgun and a 9mm Jimenez Arms gun were returned to the owners after a call of shots fired in the 500 block of Sabine Avenue. Police found several people celebrating the holiday by shooting the handguns into the ground.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 3000 block of West 60th street.
• Aggravated assault was reported at Prince Hall Apartments, 914 W. 14th Street.
• An unit at A-1 Rental, 3249 25th St., was burglarized some time between June 4 and July 4.
• A person was arrested for evading arrest with a motor vehicle in the 3700 block of Fourth Street.
• Three laptops and five plaid short sleeve shirts were stolen from a home in the 5100 block of Lakeshore Drive.
• Deadly conduct was reported after someone fired shots at a home in the 1300 block of Eighth Street.
• A person was arrested for criminal trespassing at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.
• Two incidents of aggravated assault-family violence were reported at Washington Park, 301 W. Thomas Blvd.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated, second offense, in the 800 block of Houston Avenue.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated with open container in the 4400 block of Dryden Road.
• Assault-family violence was reported at Heatherbrook Apartments, 7912 Heatherbrook Trail.
• Theft from an elderly person was reported at Villa Main Apartments, 901 Main Ave.
Sunday, July 5
• A 2003 Honda CRF-450 dirt bike was stolen from the 5000 block of Austin Avenue.
• A Craftsman self-propelled lawn mower, valued at $425, was stolen from a home in the 3700 block of Lakeshore Drive.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Harding Avenue.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Rampart Apartments, 1642 Village East Blvd.
• Zion Temple Baptist Church, 822 12th St., was burglarized some time between June 28 and July 5.
• A person was arrested for intoxication assault in the 3800 block of Gulfway Drive following a wreck.
• Intoxication manslaughter charges were filed after a person was driving while intoxicated in the 3800 block of Gulfway Drive and was involved in a wreck. A passenger in the car was killed.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at Home Run, 1403 Jefferson Drive.
• A Michael Kors purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Turtle Creek Drive.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported after a person was assaulted by multiple people and one pointed a gun at him at Los Tres Reyes, 6402 Gulfway Drive.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 4000 block of Lansing Avenue.
Monday, July 6
• A cell phone and checkbook were stolen from a vehicle at Villa Main Apartments, 901 Main Ave.
• A person was arrested for the theft of several items of clothing, infant items and batteries valued at $93,83 at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• A Homelite weedeater was stolen from a home in the 2100 block of 17th Street.
• A person was arrested for evading arrest/detention following a theft at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• A microwave, push lawn mower and two 17-inch 10 ply tires were stolen from a home in the 2800 block of Manning Street.
• A small air conditioning unit and copper tubing were stolen from a home in the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue between June 6 and July 6.
• A man exchanged a pair of old work boots and walked out of Boot Barn, 7745 Memorial Blvd. with a new pair valued at $195 without paying.
• Approximately 200 foot of aluminum wire was stolen from an underground transformer in the 4400 block of Emerlyn Lane.
• A female was arrested for criminal trespass at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• Numerous items were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of 32nd Street.
• A person was arrested for resisting arrest/disorderly conduct in the 3000 block of Alamo Avenue.
• Numerous home improvement items and building materials including marble counter tops were stolen from a home in the 5800 block of Charles Avenue some where between June 3 and July 6.
• A home in the 1900 block of 11th Street was burglarized.
• An unknown amount of copper tubing was stolen from the 3800 block of Eighth Avenue.
• Several firearms, jewelry, electronics and cash were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Seventh Street.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of West Sixth Street.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 3000 block of 12th Street.
Tuesday, July 7
• A female was arrested for theft and failure to identify in addition to having a county warrant for her arrest at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• Three people riding 4-wheelers cut a barbed wire fence and drove around on private property causing five calves to go missing in the 5800 block of Jade Avenue.
• A female was arrested for theft at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• A pair of men’s overall clothing, men’s camouflage jacket and .40 caliber handgun were stolen from a home in the 2600 block of 17th Street.
• A man was arrested for the theft of three pairs of Ariat Cierra boots, valued at $509.97, at Academy, 8453 Memorial Blvd.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon- family violence was reported after a man attempted to hit another man with a hammer in the 1600 block of Ninth Street.
• A person was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and evading arrest following a call of an intoxicated person at Stop-N-Drive, in the 2500 block of Gulfway Drive. The suspect was detained in the 2200 block of Bluebonnet following a brief chase.
• A City of Port Arthur Water Distribution building, 111 H.O. Mills, was burglarized between June 7 and July 7 and a hydraulic saw and a hydraulic power unit valued at $8,900 were stolen.
• A vehicle in the 3800 block of Fifth Street was burglarized.
• Two vehicles in the 3800 block of Fourth Street were burglarized.
Wednesday, July 8
• Several diving helmets, radio system that connects to the diving helmets, large style Yeti coolers and other commercial diving equipment were stolen from a cargo trailer at Huffman Construction, 7420 Gulfway Drive, between July 3 and July 8.
• A Snapper brand push mower was stolen from Gulfway Pawn Shop, 3434 Gulfway Drive after locks were cut to a secure area.
