Marie Aline Barnes, age 92, passed away June 23, in Kingwood, Texas .  A native of Port Arthur, Aline was born November 8, 1922 to Elmire and Ferdinand Dardeau.  She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and in 1942 married Charles Bruce Barnes of Bakewell, Tennessee.  Soon after Aline moved with her newborn daughter, Susanne, to Brooklyn, New York to be close to her Merchant Marine husband who was stationed in port there.  A son, Michael Bruce, was born in 1948  in Chester, Pennsylvania where the family lived until returning to Port Arthur in 1958.   Aline devoted her time to her children and her home and in 1962 had another daughter, Tracey Lynne.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and a son.
Aline is survived by her two daughters, Susanne Barnes and Tracey Frediani, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  The family wishes to thank Kathy Festervand for her thoughtful caring during her trying last months.
Funeral arrangements are provided by Clayton Thompson of Groves.  There will be a graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum on Tuesday, June 30 at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the charity of choice in Aline’s name.
