Loretta Jean Jordan, 83, of Groves, died Monday, June 22, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of the area, she was born on November 30, 1931, in Port Arthur, to Zelma Fontenot and Mack Young.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Brittain of Nederland; son, Jay Frank Jordan and his wife, Sheila, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Jordan Brittain and Joseph Brittain, both of Fannett; Nathan Jordan and his wife, Mattie and Melody Hinson and her husband, Kirk, all of Groves; and Bethany Jordan of Port Neches; great-grandchildren, Mary Jordan, Amelia Jordan, and Skylar Brittain; sister, Patsy Jones of Ft. Walton, Florida; and brother, Arvie Young of Port Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Billie C. Jordan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Oak Grove Nursing Home and Riceland Hospice.
A gathering of Mrs. Jordan’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
