Peggy L. “Brammer” Moody

Peggy L. (Brammer) Moody, of Groves, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, with her family by her side. She was born on May 12, 1949, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Peggy attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Bishop Byrne High School, where she was a member of the Colleens Drum & Bugle Corps., and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967. Her first job was at First National Bank. She later worked at the City of Port Arthur Water Department, Doctor’s Hospital, and UTMB – Mark W. Stiles Unit of Texas State Prison System. She also worked for her nephew, Scott Brammer, at Brammer Construction. After retiring, she spent time with her grandchildren attending their ballgames, fishing with her husband, and watching the birds from her patio. Many fond memories were made celebrating New Year’s Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day, and traveling to Mexico for shopping with her girlfriends, the “Yah-Yah Sisters.”
Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, James David Brammer; her parents, Albert and Dora Brammer; and her son, Louis Edward Trosclair. She is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Sam Moody, of Groves, Texas; her siblings, A. E. (Buddy) Brammer, Jr., and wife, Eldora, of Nederland, Texas; JoAnne Letney and husband, Carroll, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Robert L. (Bob) Brammer and wife, Suzanne, of Port Arthur, Texas; and Lisa Drago and husband, Jon, of Port Arthur, Texas. Also, her children, Louis (Trey) Clarence Trosclair, III, and wife, Kathy, of Missouri City, Texas; Michelle Sanders of Port Neches, Texas; and step-daughter, Lisa Fort, and husband, Nathan, of Pearland, Texas. Peggy was known as “MiMi” to her loving grandchildren, Adam Trosclair, Kyler and Karsen Sanders; step- grandchildren, Ross Murdoch, Anthony Moody, and Joseph Chiarmonte.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Brennan, Dr. Gonzales, Dr. Barrrow, Dr. Nassar, Dr. Rhee, and their staff at The Texas Kidney Institute. Also, The Transplant Center with Dr. Knight, Dr. Gaber, and staff. A special thank you to all of the nurses on the 4th and 10th floors of Dunn Tower at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. A rosary will be prayed at 6 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
