Young man turned good Samaritan appreciated

On May 31, my father, Walter F. Buddy Davis, went out to his favorite bank fishing spot alone just to sit.  He placed his lawn chair down in a grassy spot and sat down and fell immediately backward.

He was stuck with his arms and legs only up in the air.  Daddy waved his arms to exhaustion and was about to give up when he heard a vehicle stopping.  A young man in a truck appeared and in spite of Daddy’s doubt reassured Daddy he could help him stand up and get to safety.

My father is 6 feet 9 inches and 250 pounds.  This young man was 5 feet 10 inches and Daddy said, “There is no way you can do this alone.”  The young man lifted him to a standing position and walked him to his truck.

Daddy cried in appreciation and has promised not to leave the house alone again. Momma and all nine of the Davis children want to say thank you for the kindness of a young man for helping our Daddy.
