Beaumont detectives investigate city’s 11th homicide of year

Detectives are attempting to determine the circumstances that led to the death of an African-American male found in Beaumont’s south end.
At about 2:26 p.m. Tuesday, a neighborhood resident phoned the 911 Communications Center and said they heard shots fired and then saw what appeared to be a body lying in the middle of the street in the 3900 block of Inca Street. Patrol Officers arrived and found 20-year-old Justin Jamaine Guidry deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. This is the 11th homicide investigated in 2015 in Beaumont.
Detectives are still working to locate possible witnesses and are requesting assistance from the public to develop leads that may identify the person(s) responsible for this murder. Anyone with information about this homicide should call Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS. If they provide information that leads to the identity of the person or persons responsible for this crime, they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
