TxDOT approves $3.4 million to rehab Intracoastal bridge

The Texas Transportation Commission approved $3.4 million last month for the rehabilitation of the Intracoastal Canal Bridge on Texas 87 in Port Arthur. SCR Construction Co., Inc. was awarded the contract.
“Projects like this are necessary to keep our bridges in safe working order,” said Tucker Ferguson, district engineer for the Beaumont District of Texas Department of Transportation.
The project will begin in two to four months and will take approximately nine months to complete, according to a press release from TxDOT.
